I'm back!!!

I am back and it has been ALOT of changes since I last posted. I lost my job in November 2020 and was rehired in a completely different department in July 2021. Khari started playing baseball which he is amazing at. It's surreal sometimes when your child does similar activites or skills as you at a young age. I'm coaching the team which is a Blast! The kids are excited to play with the same love I once had for baseball. I started a consulting business. Oh yeah and We had Baby Number 2! Yeah Amari Dean Miller who will be 6 months in a few weeks. I know some people were concerned about having children during this pandenmic but we talked about and were confident that everything would work out fine. One thing about life is it keeps going no matter what is going on. So yeah that pretty much everything that has happened since I last posted. But I am back and will be posting weekly moving forward. After I lost my job while going through a pandemic was alot for me. I was finally moving up in the company then just like that all my hard work was gone. I was devastated for a while but I had to push through because once you are a parent you have to make a way. Once I was officially let go in November 2020. I brushed up my resume and started job hunting. One thing that can say that I have noticed about myself is I am starting to really understand my value and how to leverage that for a position I want. I wasnt just looking for just any job it had to fit what I was looking for so I was interviewing them as much as they were with me. I was more confident asking questions and negotiating. Then I finally landed what I was looking for I was scheduled to start the end of March. One day I was just hanging around the apartment and something in my head said check to see if they are hiring at Dave & Buster's. I don't know why this though came to me because I hadn't even though about D&B in a while. But I did I reached out to my old Supervisor and she was actually about to reach out to me because they were starting a new department Guest Relations. She wanted me to join her team and I was to start in July. For the first time I have 2 definite job offers do I move on a start a new chapter somewhere else or do I return to D&B? After discussions with my wife and prayer I was able to make a decide going back to D&B was the right choice. It was scary making this decision because the other job was a great opportunity but I felt like I still had more to do with D&B. That decisions has paid off I have a remote position so I am able to spend time with my family. This department is full of opportunities so alot of room for growth. Did I mention it's remote! That being said the Miller Family is doing alright! I look forward to having more conversations and taking this blog to the level it's supposed to be.
